Is infrared heat safe?

Yes, space heaters that emit infrared heat are safe around children and pets. The heat that is generated is similar to that of the sun. It's a subtle warming sensation that heats objects from within and causes no harm to objects around it.

Why does my heater run after I shut it off?

The heater fan will continue to run for approximately 4 minutes after the unit is turned off, in order to cool down the inside of the heater. The heater elements heat the inside of the heater to between 180 and 200 degrees, thus it is important that the heater cool down thoroughly after use.

Will the heater heat more than one room at a time?

Heating will vary depending on the floor plan and the size of the rooms. Placing the heater toward the center of the largest room will improve heat movement between rooms.

Will my heater work if my room is not well insulated?

The heater will work in places like garages and basements, but the better a room is insulated, the more effective the heater will be. Remember: the heater heats not just the air, but the objects in the room as well, so uninsulated wall may absorb much or most of the heat, making the heater less effective.

Why does my heater only display a line of dots?

When dots are displayed on the screen, the heater is in screen saver mode. After you set the heater, the screen saver display will start about 10 minutes later. This will not affect the operation of the heater. To exit the screen saver display, press any button on the control panel.

How do I turn on my UV light filter?

If your unit includes an ultraviolet light filter, you can switch this feature on and off using the switch on the back of the unit. The "I" symbol indicates the "on" position and "O" indicates the "off" position for the UV filter. A blueish glow should be visible through the back of the unit when the UV light is on. The filter will only function when air is being drawn into the unit. This means the UV light will not be on while the heating unit is warming up or cooling down, even if the UV switch is set to the "on" position. However, the UV light will come on as soon as the unit begins drawing air in to be heated.

Can I use more than one heater in a room?

If you are heating a large area, more than one heater may be used. Heaters are rated at 12.5 amps, so each heater must be plugged into an independent outlet on a 15 amp or greater circuit.

Why is the heater air not blowing as hard as it was before?

Make sure the filter on the back of the heater is clean, and make sure there is nothing obstructing the front or rear of the heater. For example, make sure it's not too close to a wall.

Why isn't the heater maintaining the temperature I set it to?

Often times this means that the heater needs to be calibrated. This feature allows you to synchronize the heater's digital thermostat temperature reading to match that of your home's thermostat. Do I need to register my warranty?

No. If you purchased directly from us at Heater.com, then you do not need to register your warranty in anyway. We already have your transaction and your warranty date documented.

What does the warranty cover?

Three-Year Limited Warranty
The Living Well Company warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, to the original purchaser, and under normal operating conditions, for a period of one year.

For an additional two years, The Living Well Company will warranty the fan motor and infrared heating elements against defects in workmanship or materials under normal use and service.

During the three-year limited warranty, The Living Well Company shall provide, at no cost to the original purchaser, heating elements and fan motor(s) as needed to service product and keep the unit in good working condition.

Return shipping costs will be paid by The Living Well Company for repairs due to warranty work or warranty service for the first 90 days. After the first 90 days, the customer shall be responsible for shipping costs in the event that the unit needs repairs or requires replacement parts.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship anywhere within the contiguous U.S. (including APO/FPO) free of charge.

When will my order ship?

If ordered during normal business hours (with the exception of holidays) and before 2:00pm, orders usually ship the same day. Please keep in mind, orders placed after 2:00pm CST, or on a weekend or holiday, will begin processing the following business day.

Does Heater.com ship to multiple addresses?

Unfortunately, you may only ship to one address per order at this time. If you need to ship to multiple locations, you will need to place separate orders for each address.

Can I cancel or edit an order I just made?

As we strive to get orders shipped as quickly as possible, there is only a short period of time to make a change. Once an order has reached the “processing” phase, changes or cancellations cannot be made. Will I be charged tax on my purchase?

If your order is being shipped to an address within the state of Oklahoma, then you will be subject to applicable taxes.

What are my payment options?

We accept all major forms of credit cards and Paypal online. We do not accept cash on delivery nor do we offer financing options. Payment must be received in full prior to shipment of any merchandise.
